"The Adventures Of Barry and Joe" On Sale Now
According to a recent press release, the memes and gifs highlighting Barack Obama and Joe Biden’s “bromance” continues with the release of the graphic novel “The Adventures of Barry and Joe.” This 224-page adventure is meant to continue the public’s obsession with the friendship that began in the White House.
The novel is based around a fantasy that Barack and Joe have been given back their younger bodies and sent back in time. As they try to find a way back to each other, they’re also attempting to save America. Samuel L. Jackson is their guide as they fight against evil forces, poor decisions, and Republicans. Their main goal is to save democracy from the ultimate villain — represented by an orange hand.
“The Adventures of Barry and Joe” began as a Kickstarter campaign after the 2016 election of Donald Trump as president. As people ravenously latched onto the idea of continuing funny internet memes, the project met its fundraising goal. As the books go on sale, the Americans who still long for the days before November 2016 can finally escape reality.
The novel is described as a hybrid between a comic book and political fan fiction and is destined to join the list of beloved books highlighting political figures. Author Adam Reid describes himself as a creator, writer, and director. But he’s best known for his award-winning feature film, Hello Lonesome, and high-end commercial work.
